1982 Honda CR480

Recently JBI's suspension services were requested to breath life back into some vintage suspension and also make a few smart modifications along the way.

The damper rod forks were modified to achieve a more desirable compression damping curve and offer more tuning adjustability.

The shock was retrofitted with a larger nitrogen reservoir to help combat shock fade during long motos and also take advantage of the additional adjustable compression valve.  The original hard rubber shock bottom out bumper was exchanged in favor for a plusher and better performing shock bottom out bumper.

Here are a few pictures of the finished project...

The Real Open Class Bike

Before 450cc four strokes there were 500cc two stokes that made up the original open class.  Here we have a well maintained 1994 Honda CR500 that JBI was fortunate enough to work on.  Enjoy!

And we all think modern footpegs are small!
